Reconstruction of washed out and failed of Aji and Ora Bridges

This will involve the Design and Construction phases of Aji and Ora Bridges located approximately 17km along the Uleppi – Offaka road in Offaka sub county Arua District, and approximately 3km from the Gulu – Arua Road respectively, including 9.2km upgrade of the gravel approaches to the bridges. Aji Bridge The work to be completed under the Design and Build proposal for Aji Bridge include design and execution of bridge works as below: Design and construction of a new minimum 20m long single span single lane (minimum 5.4m) bridge with 1.5m single walkways to the Client/ UNRA approval; Design and reconstruction of 1.2km gravel approach roads, 0.6km on either side; erection of Ancillary works and amenities, guardrails, signs, river protection works etc.; River training works 70m upstream and downstream and installation of gabion/ rip rap protection to river bank and embankments; Ora Bridge Supply and install portable modular single lane (minimum 5.4m wide) 39.6 single span steel bridge,; Installation of ancillary works and amenities, guardrails, signs, river protection works gabions etc.; Necessary surveys and Geotechnical Investigations to aid design acceptable to UNRA;Design and construction of approximately 8km of Gravel road to Design class C Gravel in accordance with the Road Design Manual: Volume 1: Geometric Design issued by Ministry of Works and Transport; River training works 70m upstream and downstream including gabion/ rip rap protection to embankments;
