Kingfisher Escarpment Road Maintenance Project
About the Project:
Reinstating 8 Culvert outlet structures and provide protection to embankment and Bridge on the escarpment road .In addition, Dynaco was to undertake Ancillary works – road signages, street lights (solar powered lights), repairs to damaged parts of the concrete road furniture, stone masonry and guard rails.

CNOOC Uganda Limited is the operator of the Kingfisher oil field. The Kingfisher oil field is near the Lake Albert in Uganda, which is approximately 16km long by 3.5km wide and covers an area of 37.5km2. The processing facilities will be built in the oil field area and processed oil will be transported out of the field through a new built pipeline.
The Kingfisher access road traverses the escarpment and ends down at the Buhuka flat. The topography of the area consists of steep escarpment; the elevation at the top of the escarpment is 1057m above mean sea level (AMSL) and the elevation of the plain is 635m, AMSL, thus a difference of 422m. The road cuts across gorges in the escarpment section.
